GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – The Trine women's golf team finished sixth in the third MIAA Jamboree of the season held at the Thornapple Golf Club.
Hope College finished first in the event with a team score of 330 strokes. Saint Mary's College came in second with 340 strokes, with Alma College only three strokes behind them with a team score of 343.
Senior Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) led the Thunder on the day with 84 strokes which placed her tied for tenth as an individual. Fellow senior Jordan Stevens (Brownstown/Brownstown) and sophomore Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) both finished with 90 strokes on the day. Sophomore MacKenna Kelly rounded out the scorecard for Trine with 95 strokes.
The Thunder next take the links on Saturday, Sept. 30 for the fourth MIAA Jamboree of the season which has a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. taking place at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian, Mich.
