AVON PARK, FLA. -- The Trine University women's golf team defeated Baldwin Wallace University with a team score of 387.
Sophomore Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich.) led the way for the Thunder turning in a score of 92 strokes. Welper was also the low score in the competition on either team. Senior Jordan Stevens (Albion, Mich.) came in second with 96 and freshman Olivia Phillips (Yorktown, Ind.) posted a score of 97. Senior Natalie Woodley (Grayling, Mich.) posted the final score on the card for the Thunder with a 102.
Trine will next compete on Friday, March 30, when they travel to the Ravines Golf Club in Saugatuck, Mich. with tee times set for 1 p.m.
