SAUGATUCK, MICH. – The Trine University women's golf team was defeated in their match after finishing with a team score of 380 strokes. Hope College came away with the victory after finishing with a team score of 331.
Sophomore Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lake Orion) led the way for the Thunder finishing the round with a score of 85. Senior Natalie Woodley (Grayling Mich. / Grayling) came away with a 93 and Mackenna Kelly finished with a 97. Olivia Philips rounded out the scorecard for the Thunder finishing the round with 105 strokes.
Trine will next take the links when they participate in the St. Francis Invitational which begins on Friday, April 6 at the Cherry Hill Golf Course in Fort Wayne, Ind. Tee times are scheduled for 1 p.m.
