Women's Golf Competes at Adrian College Invite

ADRIAN, MICH. – The Trine University women's golf team competed in the tightly contested Adrian College Spring Invite today falling just 11 strokes behind the leader, but finishing in last place.

Trine finished the completion with a team score of 397 strokes, while host Adrian College won the event with a 386.
Senior Natalie Woodley (Grayling, Mich. / Grayling) posted the low score for the Thunder finishing with a 94, good enough for sixth as an individual. Sophomores Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich. / Lake Orion) and Mackenna Kelly (Angola, Ind. / Angola) both posted scores of 99 finishing tied for 11th in the tournament. Freshman Olivia Philips (Muncie, Ind. / Muncie) rounded out the scorecard for Trine with 105 strokes.

The Thunder will continue their season on Monday, April 23 when they travel to the Steven Tyler Invitational. The event which is hosted by The Moors Golf Club in Portage, Mich. is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
