Trine Battles at MIAA Fall Championships

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Trine University women's golf team placed sixth in the fifth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree round of the season at the Fall Championships. 

After five of six rounds, the Thunder are sixth in the league standings, less than a stroke off of fifth-place Alma College. Saint Mary's College won the round with a team score of 322 and Adrian's Taylor Ross shot a 76 to medal.

The Thunder shot a 343 and were led by Maire Sullivan [Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth] with an 82. Sullivan was top 10 on the player leaderboard in ninth.

Lily Williamson [Colfax, Ind. / Western Boone] and Reagan Guthrie [Genoa, Ohio / Genoa Area] were even at 86. Grace Dubec [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] finished her day with an 89 and Carli Sanford [Howe, Ind. / Sturgis] a 92.

Individual Bailey Bravata [Holland, Mich. / Zeeland East] notched a 95.

The women will continue competition tomorrow at Bedford Valley Country Club with their sixth Jamboree round.
