Fall Portion of the Trine Women's Golf Schedule Wraps Up at MIAA Championship

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Trine University women's golf team finished seventh in the final day of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Fall Championships at Bedford Valley Country Club on Saturday. The result was not enough for the team to qualify for the opportunity to compete for the NCAA DIII Championship bid as the conference champion.

At the conclusion of six jamboree events, Trine placed seventh in the league standings, with Hope College having the lowest total score in MIAA events.

For the second straight day, Maire Sullivan [Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth] had the lowest score for the Thunder with an 80. Sullivan birdied the par-3 8th hole and par-4 11th. She placed tenth on the player leaderboard.

The next lowest score belonged to Carli Sanford [Howe, Ind. / Sturgis] at 85. Reagan Guthrie [Genoa, Ohio / Genoa Area] and Grace Dubec [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] tied with scores of 88.

Lily Williamson [Colfax, Ind. / Western Boone] shot an 89 in the final tournament of the fall season, and individual Bailey Bravata [Holland, Mich. / Zeeland East] fired an 88.

The Trine women's golf team has concluded play in the fall, but will be back in action in the spring of 2022.
