Women's Golf Fourth at IU East Fall Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Trine University women's golf team secured a fourth-place finish at the IU East Fall Invitational on Saturday. The Thunder had a total score of 680 (338-342) in the 36-hole event, behind the hosts from IU East at 637 (321-316) as well as two teams from St.-Mary's-of-the-Woods College at 649 (328-321) and 672 (336-336).

Calley Ruff had the lowest score of day two with an 80 and finished in a tie for 12th with a 36-hole total of 165. Grace Dubec tied with Ruff on the player leaderboard after two rounds. She shot an 87 on Saturday.

21st place overall belonged to Bailey Bravata. She fired a 173 in total, including a day-two 86. Mae Norman was just behind in 26th with a score of 177 (88-89). Sophie Argyle finished tied for 30th at 183 after taking three strokes off her Friday score with a 90 on Saturday. Competing as an individual, Grace Thiele had the third-lowest score of Trine student-athletes at 175 (tied for 24th). Thiele had an 85 on Saturday, the lowest score of her young career.

Another 36-hole event awaits the Thunder next weekend when the team travels to The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan for the Kyle Campbell Invitational on September 8-9.
