Trine Eighth After First Round in the Kyle Campbell Memorial

MARSHALL, Mich. – The Trine University women's golf team began action at the Kyle Campbell Memorial at The Medalist Golf Club on Friday afternoon. Through 18 of the 36 holes, the Thunder sit eighth out of 16 teams. As a team, Trine shot a 346.

Junior Grace Dubec led the way for the Thunder with a round of 81. She sits alone in 12th place on the player leaderboard. Junior Bailey Bravata and sophomore Calley Ruff are within one stroke of each other in ties for 31st and 38th after firing rounds of 87 and 88.

Sophomore Grace Thiele secured a score of 90 and freshman Mae Norman a 91 as the final two members of the scoring team. Thiele is tied for 51st and Norman 57th in a total field of 97.

Individual players in action for Trine included junior Caroline Boyd (96), sophomore Payton Ault (97), sophomore Sophie Argyle (98) and freshman Brayton Huffman (109).
