SAUGATUCK, Mich. – The Trine University women's golf team battled Hope College on Wednesday afternoon in a dual match at Clearbrook Golf Club. The Flying Dutch were able to defeat the Thunder by one stroke, 352-353.
Out of 17 players, Grace Dubec tied for the individual medalist honors after shooting an 82. A 38 on the back half of the course helped propel her solid round. Grace Thiele and Calley Ruff showed consistency with scores of 89 and 90.
The final two scoring members for Trine were Bailey Bravata and Mae Norman. Bravata recorded a score of 92 and Norman carded a 93. Out of the five additional student-athletes in action against Hope, Chloe Renihan led the field with an 89.
The rescheduled Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #4 will take place at home on Zollner Golf Course on Thursday, April 18. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
