Coach Warren was named head coach of the Trine Uniersity women's golf team in the fall of 2017 and was tabbed to be the head of the men's program as well in July of 2020. He follows the great Bill SanGiacomo, who was the head men's golf coach at Trine for 50 years before retiring from full time coaching, but continues to leave his mark on the program as a volunteer assistant.

2022-23 saw the Trine men's golf team qualify for the MIAA AQ with a third-place finish in the fall season. Mark Civanich tallied his first career MIAA MVP award by finishing with a scoring average of 71.67. Mitch Lowney received the conference's Sportsmanship Award as well as Second Team honors in the conference. Kyler Rod was also tabbed Second Team All-MIAA. In the 2021-22 season, Warren led the men's team to a third-place finish at the MIAA Fall Championships, qualifying for the MIAA Automatic Qualifier event for the 10th straight year it has taken place. The Thunder finished in second as a team, narrowly missing out on an opportunity to go back to the NCAA DIII Championships. The women's team was seventh overall in league play.

He led the men's team to their first ever appearance at the NCAA DIII Championships in the 2020-21 season after going back-to-back as MIAA Champions.  Carlos Coeto, Cameron Ruge, Todd Mieske, Mitch Lowney and Mark Civanich represented Trine at the men's golf finale in Wheeling, West Virginia at the Oglebay Resort. The team placed 20th overall and Coeto finished in a tie for 47th with a four-round score of 303.

On the women's side, Warren has led three student-athletes to All-MIAA honors and a best team finish of fourth in the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Warren previouly held a position at Trine University's Zollner Golf Course for 11 years, first as the assistant golf professional and then, most recently, as the director of golf operations. He is an alumnus of Trine and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Golf Management. Warren was a member of the Trine men's varsity golf team from 2003-2007.
