Women's Hockey Names Emoff to Coaching Staff

ANGOLA, IND. – Trine women's hockey team has named Victoria Emoff as the program's first assistant coach.

Emoff arrives at Trine after most recently having served as the co-head coach of St. Timothy's Catholic (Md.) High School girls' varsity ice hockey for a year.  She has also served as a coach for Lake Forest Academies' summer hockey camp.

"We are extremely proud to have Tori join our staff," says Trine Head Coach Thomas Hofman, "Her experience and leadership at the DIII level will be invaluable to this inaugural team of women.  I expect Tori to help create an all-inclusive team culture and develop a strong defensive core."

As a player Emoff was a defenseman at Stevenson University.  While there, Emoff served as captain for her final two seasons.  During her career, Emoff broke multiple school records including highest plus/minus for a season (+24) and most consecutive games played in a single season (27).

During her senior season, Stevenson racked up a 23-3-1 record on the way to a Colonial Hockey Conference championship. That season, Emoff was named first-team All-CHC, to the CHC All-Academic Team and to the CHC All-Tournament Team.

Emoff's main duties will be recruiting and working with the defense.

The Trine women's hockey team will launch its inaugural season this winter. Led by head coach Thomas Hofman, the team will compete in the women's Northern Collegiate Hockey Conference as a member of NCAA Division III. The team will open the season with an exhibition game at Grand Valley State (Mich.) University on Saturday, Oct. 28. Their first home contest will take place Friday, Nov. 3, against conference opponent Finlandia (Mich.) University.
