Thunder Fall in Season Opener

ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine NCAA hockey team was defeated by Finlandia University, 2-0.

The Lions scored the first goal of the game, a power-play goal, in the 17th minute of the first period when Hannah Tormanen took a rebounded shot and put it past the Thunder netminder.

While the Thunder would outshoot Finlandia with 51 shots to 32, they were unable to find the back of the net in the game. Freshman goalie Ryan Harth (Medinah, Ill.) played the entire game in goal for the Thunder and made 30 saves, despite giving up the two goals for Finlandia.

Freshman defender Kailey Cameron (Nowthen, Minn.) led the team with nine shots in the contest.

The two teams will face off again tomorrow, Nov. 4 at 2:00 p.m. to finish off their weekend doubleheader.
