Thunder Fall to Nationally-Ranked Bulldogs

ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine women's hockey team were defeated by nationally-third-ranked Adrian College by the score of 5-1.

Adrian would capitalize on the power play scoring the first goal of the contest at the 1:50 mark of the first period. They would add a second goal, in the final minute of the period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

In the second, Trine found themselves up a skater after a penalty on Adrian. Freshman defender Kailey Cameron (Nowthen, Minn.) would find the back of the net on the power play for her first goal of the season. Freshman forwards Emily Moore (London, Ontario) and Sula Argyris (Woodhaven, Mich.) would tally the assists on the goal.

Adrian would score two quick goals in the tenth minute of the second period to take a 4-1 lead into the second intermission. They would score again in the third to finish with the 5-1 victory.

Sophomore Molly Scarborough (Ramsey, Minn.) would spend the entire night in net for the Thunder. Despite giving up the five goals in the game, she turned away another 53 attempts by the Bulldogs.
