DULUTH, MINN. -- The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) league office announced that freshman Eryn Isaacson (Fenton, Mich.) and sophomore Molly Scarborough (Ramsey, Minn.) from the Trine University women's hockey team would repeat as NCHA players of the week.
With the repeat appearance, Isaacson, a forward, became the first student-athlete to earn NCHA Offensive Player of the Week accolades twice this season. In the team's lone game of the week, Isaacson recorded the first hat trick in Trine NCAA hockey history. The second of her three goals would prove to be the game-winner, her second of the season. Following the performance, Isaacson now leads the team with five goals so far this season.
Scarborough earns the second NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors after backstopping the teams 8-2 win over King's (Pa.) College this weekend. She began the game with two shutout periods of hockey before the Monarchs got on the board with a power-play goal in the tenth minute of the final stanza. She finished with 14 saves and her third victory of the season.
