Scarborough's Shutout Gives Thunder Draw with Visiting Foresters

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine University women's hockey team played to a 0-0 tie with visiting Lake Forest College to pick up another point in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play.

The Thunder were forced to play on the defensive for the entirety of the contest as the Foresters outshot the team in each of the four periods. In total Lake Forest finished the game with 58 shots on goal to Trine's 28.

The hero of the game for the Thunder was senior goalie Molly Scarborough (Ramsey, Minn.), who turned aside every one of the Foresters shots to turn in her second shutout of the season. The single-game total is a record for Trine women's hockey and for Scarborough, with the previous single-game high being 53.

The team exits the contest with a 3-3-1 overall record and a 1-3-1 record in NCHA play. They will face off with Lake Forest again tomorrow, Saturday, December 6 at 2 p.m.
