Women's Hockey Drops Game to Aurora

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine University women's hockey team dropped their second game of the weekend to visiting Aurora University, this time by the score of 1-0.

Neither team cracked the scoreboard through the first two periods as the respective goalies combined for 34 saves.

In the third period, the offenses woke up combining for 30 shots. The Thunder tallied 18 of those shots to finish the game with 37.

While the Aurora came up short on the shot total, they were able to come away with the lone goal of the contest. The goal came on the team's lone power-play of the contest in the first minute of the final period.

The Thunder fall to 7-8-4 overall and 3-7-2 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. They will continue their season by traveling to face St. Norbert College on Friday, Feb. 7. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EST.
