Women's Hockey Falls to St. Norbert

DE PERE, Wis. – The Trine University women's hockey team continues to look for their first win of the season after falling to St. Norbert College by the score of 7-0.

The Green Knights went back-to-back in the eighth minute of the game, scoring two goals in under 20 seconds to build a commanding early lead. They added two more in the second and three in the third to finish with their final tally of seven.

Casey Frank made the start in net for the Thunder and finished the game with 41 saves despite allowing the seven goals.

On the other end of the ice, Olivia Porthan finished with a team-high three shots on goal. Three other skaters tallied a pair in the contest including Dorka Gengeliczky, Kailey Mleko and Grace Hicks.

Trine falls to 0-6-0 overall and 0-4-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play following the loss. They will continue their season on their home ice next weekend with a doubleheader against Lake Forest. The opening game is scheduled for Friday, November 17 at 7 p.m.
