ROYAL OAK, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Trine goalkeeper Grace Garrett its Defensive Player of the Week in women’s lacrosse for games played through March 30.
Garrett, a sophomore from Carmel, Ind. (Carmel HS), made 23 saves as the Thunder split a pair of nonconference contests. She had 14 saves in a 17-6 loss to DePauw, Ind., and turned away nine shots in a 20-11 victory over Wilmington, Ohio. Garrett is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season.
