Women's Lacrosse Falls to Hope

ANGOLA, Ind.-- Trine's women's lacrosse team fell to Hope College 18-1 in an MIAA conference game Wednesday at Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium.

Emily Dean scored four goals and one assist to lead the Flying Dutch scoring efforts. Alexandra Webb contributed the offense with her two goals and six assists, and Grace Ahlgrim scored three goals. Trine fell to 0-9 on the season and 0-5 in MIAA play. Hope improved to 5-3 and 4-0 in MIAA play.

Elena Gallego (Norwalk, Calif. / Santa Fe), who scored the lone Thunder goal, has now scored in three consecutive games.

Goalie Caity Rose (Hamilton, Ind. / Hamilton) had 12 saves for the day. This is Rose's seventh game with 10 or more saves on the year. Trine's Rebecca Plantz (DeWitt, Mich. / DeWitt) caused three turnovers.

The Flying Dutch totaled 43 shots for the day. Hope held a 35-19 edge in ground balls.

Trine will return to action Tuesday, April 26 as they travel to Olivet College for an MIAA conference game. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
