Plantz Named MIAA Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

FREELAND, Mich.—Trine's Rebecca Plantz has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Plantz (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) led the Thunder with seven goals and an assist on the week. The junior had six ground balls and four draw controls.

In the Thunder's contest against Concordia, Plantz had a team-high four goals and an assist. Plantz also had a game-high six ground balls. Against Concordia, she notched three goals.

Plantz leads the MIAA in goals with 11, points with 13 and shots with 29.

Trine is 1-2 on the season. The Thunder will play at Loras on March 15 for a 6 p.m. contest.
