ANGOLA, IND. – The Trine University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Augustana College this afternoon by the score of 15-11.

The Vikings came out to an early lead scoring the first two goals of the contest. But the Thunder responded with five straight goals of their own to take the 5-2 lead with 18 minutes remaining in the first half. Augustana would then go on a 8-0 run and entered the half with a 10-5 lead.

Trine came out of the intermission and scored the two goals to begin the second stanza and pull within three with the score at 10-7. But the Thunder would pull no closer as the Vikings would score five goals to Trine's four over the course of the final 20 minutes of the contest for the final score of 15-11.
