Plantz Named to All-MIAA Team

ANGOLA, IND. – Senior Rebecca Plantz (DeWitt, Mich. / DeWitt) of the Trine University women's lacrosse team has been named to the All-MIAA second team, the league office announced today.

It is the first time that Plantz has received all-conference honors in her career at Trine.

This season Plantz led the way for the Thunder the whole way. She finished fourth in goals, sixth in assists and sixth in points among MIAA competitors this season.

All the while she has set multiple single-season records for Trine women's lacrosse including points (58), points per game (3.62), goals (44), ground balls (63) and draw controls (63). She also has the second highest assists (14) total in a single season.

Plantz's record-breaking season caps off an impressive career for the Thunder. She finished with the career record for draw controls (126) and comes in second in points (111), goals (91) and assists (20). She also ranks top five in ground balls (115) and caused turnovers (44).

"Becca has done so much for this program during her time here," said head coach Madeline Dugan, "I could not be more proud of her for receiving this honor. It is very much deserved."
