WHEATON, ILL.-- Trine wrestler Brandon Preston placed seventh in the 133-lb class of the Pete Willson Invitational, which concluded Saturday at Wheaton College.
Preston (Logansport, Ind./Longansport) wrestled to a 3-2 record over the past two days to earn the finish. Today, Preston lost to eventual fifth-place finisher Collin McDermitt of Heidelberg. Preston rallied to win the seventh-place match, defeating Aaron Taylor of Baldwin-Wallace by fall in 4:00. The junior had previously gone 2-1 on the first day of competition.
Trine returns to the mats when they travel to the Alma College Dual next Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:00 p.m.
