ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine wrestling team has withdrawn from the Alma College Duals, set to be held this Saturday.
The Thunder originally scheduled their performance in the meet to give JV wrestlers an opportunity to compete. Trine will now give those wrestlers an opportunity to compete in front of the home fans as part of Friday night's Senior Night dual against Manchester. Matches begin at 7 p.m. Senior Night festivities honoring Brandon Preston (Logansport, Ind./Logansport), Mack Green (Buchanan, Mich./Buchanan) and Nick Fruits (Lebanon, Ind./Lebanon) will begin approximately 10 minutes prior to the match.
Trine enters the Manchester match 2-7 in duals this season. Preston and Green are coming off first-place finishes in the Al Hanke Invitational last weekend. Michael Conner (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville) finished third in the same event.
