Thunder Wrestling Adds Assistant Coach

ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine wrestling program has added Adam Wilson to the coaching staff, the team announced Tuesday.

Wilson will begin his assignment as Assistant Wrestling Coach at Trine University as the Thunder enters the 2015-16 wrestling season. Prior to joining the coaching staff at Trine University, Wilson held the position of Assistant Wrestling Coach at Washington and Lee University during the 2014-15 season.

Coach Wilson is a 2011 graduate of Olivet College, where he was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Comets. While competing for the wrestling team, Wilson was a three-time NCAA Division III Midwest Regional placer and was named Most Valuable Wrestler in 2010.

Following graduation, Wilson worked as an academic enrollment specialist within the Olivet College admissions office while also serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the wrestling team from 2011-2014. During this time, Wilson also earned a Master of Higher Education Administration from Upper Iowa University.

A native of Battle Creek, Mich., Wilson attended Harper Creek High School and was a two-year captain of the wrestling team, where he earned All-State status. Wilson currently holds the all-time wins (164) and All-time pins (107) records at Harper Creek.

Wilson and his wife, Meghan, currently reside in Angola.
