ANGOLA, Ind.-- Trine was defeated by Elmhurst, 42-4 in a dual match Friday night at Hershey Hall. The Thunder fall to 1-3 in duals on the season, while Elmhurst advances to 2-0 in duals.
Jaycee Jensen (Burns Harbor, Ind. / Chesterton) earned Trine's single win of the dual match. The sophomore won by a 12-0 major decision at the weight class of 174 lbs. The first period ended in a deadlock at 0-0. At the start of the second period, Jensen went to work on his opponent by getting a quick stand up escape, following by a double-leg takedown and getting seven back points to end the second period. He then added to his 9-0 lead with an early reversal in the third period to end the match.
The Thunder return to the mats after their Christmas break, when they travel to Chicago for the University of Chicago Duals Jan. 2, 2016. Matches will begin at 2 p.m.
