ADRIAN, Mich.-- The Trine wrestling team was defeated by Adrian, 38-6 in a dual match Tuesday evening in Merillat Sport and Fitness Center.
David Moore (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) picked up the first points of the night for the Thunder with a 5-2 win by decision at 125-lbs. The sophomore's victory is his 12th of the season, the second most on the team. Moore's win came over Brandon Harris, an opponent who was coming off a third-place finish in an invitational last weekend. Moore has won two of his last three matches.
Jaycee Jensen (Burns Harbor, Ind./Chesterton) earned his second-consecutive victory, winning a 9-2 decision in the 174-lb class. The sophomore picked up his seventh win of the season, tying his win-total from last year with at least six events remaining in the season.
With the loss, Trine is now 1-13 on the year in duals. The Bulldogs improved to 7-2.
The Thunder return to the mats this Friday for a dual at Manchester. The first bout of the night is scheduled for 7 p.m.
