Miller and Simmons were part of 261 individuals to earn the award representing 83 D-III institutions.  In order to be selected for the recognition, athletes must maintain a 3.2 or higher GPA and wrestle 50% or more of the team's matches throughout the season.

Miller, a civil engineering major, ended the 2018-19 season with a 21-10 overall record and finished fourth at the NCAA Division III Central Regional Meet at 174 pounds.  His 21 victories were the second most on the team and he ended the year third on the team in pins with nine.

Simmons, a biochemistry major, ended his season with a 15-12 overall mark in the 285-pound weight class.  He finished just ahead of Miller to rank second on the team in pins with 10 and placed eighth at the NCAA Regional Meet.

"Being a NWCA Scholar All-American is something special," said Head Coach Tom Hall.  "These student-athletes are getting it done both on the mat and in the classroom. With the transition the program has gone through in the last few years, we are continuing to raise our standards both athletically and academically. It's nice to see our athletes brave this challenge and accept the new standards and also get recognized for the immense amount of work they put in."
