Carver Earns All-MIAA Honors

ANGOLA, IND.  --  Trine University senior wrestler, Luke Carver (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis), has earned All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association honors for his efforts this season.

Individuals that went 3-0 in MIAA dual meets at their respective weight class were automatically named All-MIAA wrestlers. The remaining weight class honorees were voted on by the four MIAA head coaches.

Carver finished with a 2-0 record against conference opponents and did not wrestle in the remaining MIAA dual meet scheduled.

Statistically this season, Carver leads the team in wins with 13 and is 13-1 overall.  He has won six matches by pinfall to go along with three tech falls, a major decision and one decision victory.

For his career, Carver has 72 wins (72-38) with 29 pins, 18 tech falls, eight major decisions and 12 decisions.  His 29 career pins currently rank as the fourth highest in program history and he is the program's all-time leader in tech falls (18).

Carver and the team will travel to North Manchester, Ind. for their final dual match of the season against Manchester University on Thursday, Feb. 13.  The meet is slated to start at 7 p.m.
