ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University men's wrestling coach Tom Hall has been named the 2021 16U-Junior Indiana State Wrestling Association (ISWA) Coach of the Year for his work with the youth wrestling program this past season.
As he enters his third year at the helm of Thunder men's wrestling, Hall spent the summer working with the Indiana State 16U and Junior teams as they traveled to a pair of national events.
The first of those events was the 2021 Junior National Duals in Tulsa, Okla. where Hall served as team leader, organizing and running all facets of the team competition. While there the team posted a record of 6-8 overall with a 3-4 record in both Freestyle and Greco Roman Wrestling. Overall ten wrestlers on the team finished with winning records individually.
In the second event of the summer, the US Marine Corps Junior & 16U Nationals in Fargo, N.D., Hall served as a coach working with individual athletes. While there his athletes produced a runner-up and multiple top-8 finishes.
