Two Wrestlers Named NWCA Scholar All-Americans

ANGOLA, Ind. –  Two members of the Trine University men's wrestling team have been recognized for their efforts in the classroom as Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

A total of 451 individuals competing at the NCAA Division III level were awarded the honor representing 90 institutions. Representing the Thunder was senior Owen Conklin (West Lafayette, Ind. / Harrison) who is majoring in Design Engineering Technology and freshman John Browning (Novi, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central) who is majoring in Accounting.

"On behalf of the NWCA Board of Directors, it is my honor to recognize these exceptional athletes and teams," NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer said. "Wrestling takes much focus and sacrifice and we are proud to honor these wrestlers for their obvious commitment to their academic pursuits!"
