ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's wrestling team were outmatched by the visiting grapplers from Albion College, falling by the score of 36-3 in the dual.
It took until the 157 pound match for the Thunder to get on the board, with the Britons taking the first four matches of the night. Philip Burney won the lone match of the contest for the team, holding on in the final seconds of his match for a 3-2 decision.
The final five matches would also go to Albion as they built up their score to the final 36-3 victory.
Trine falls to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play. They will finish off the dual portion of their season when they travel to face Adrian College on Tuesday, February 13 for a 7 p.m. contest.
