ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine women's soccer team has released its 2014 schedule, the team announced Thursday.
The Thunder will open the regular-season at the Franklin Invitational Soccer Tournament against Franklin on Aug. 29. Trine will also face Rose-Hulman the next day as part of the tournament. The 19-match regular-season schedule includes eight home contests. The Thunder are coming off a season in which they finished ninth in the MIAA and 2-17 overall. The team will look to continued improvement from its young core after losing just two players to graduation.
The pair of matches in Franklin account for all but one of Trine's non-conference contest. The Thunder will also travel to Manchester Sep 2. Trine will also face Concordia Chicago in an Exhibition match at the Shindigz National Soccer Festival at IPFW.
The Thunder will open conference play at home against Kalamazoo Sep. 8. The MIAA-schedule includes home and away matches with every conference team. Trine wraps up the regular-season with a home match Nov. 3 against St. Mary's.
