ANGOLA, IND.-- Trine battled MIAA-leader Hope to a scoreless tie in double-overtime Tuesday evening at Van Andel Stadium.

The Dutch peppered Trine keepers Skyler Reed (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) and Kristina Veljovic (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) with 26 shots, but the two keepers were equal to the task. Reed made four saves in the first 45 minutes of action. Veljovic played the second half and both overtime stanzas, making six saves for the Thunder. Hope entered the match averaging 2.2 goals per game. The result gives Trine a 4-7-3 overall record, 2-6-3 in conference matches. The Dutch are now 10-3-1, 9-1-1 in MIAA play.

Thunder keepers now have a shutout streak of 226:03 dating back to a match at Kalamazoo Oct. 8. Reed is second in the MIAA in both saves and save percentage. Veljovic has recorded a clean sheet in three of her six appearances this season, all of which have been 45:00 or longer.
