Trine University Welcomes Freshmen to SOAR 2016

ANGOLA, Ind.-- The entire incoming Trine women's soccer freshmen class gathered for a photo Wednesday during Trine University's Student Orientation and Registration 2016.

Known as SOAR, the event provides opportunities to meet academic advisors, schedule classes, learn valuable information about resources at Trine, meet coaches and meet other new and returning students. SOAR also provides opportunities for parents to experience Trine in a more in-depth way and provides resources to assist in future planning.

The women's soccer freshmen make up part of the incoming class of Trine University student-athletes. Trine is home to more than 650 student-athletes who compete in 23 varsity sports.

The Thunder women's soccer team opens the season Thursday, Sep. 1 at 7 p.m. against in-state opponent Anderson. The two teams will square off under the lights of Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium. This is the second straight year Trine will play its home-opener under the lights.
