Kalamazoo Slips Past Women's Soccer

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Trine women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 game at Kalamazoo in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match up on Friday.

The Hornets' Sydney Spring scored the game winning goal at 11:20 of the first half. Rosella LoChirco picked up the assist.

Carly Osinkski (Noblesville, Ind./Guerin Catholic) led the Thunder offense with four shots including two on goal. Marisa Robinett (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb) also had two shots. Kristina Veljovic (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) made 13 saves in net for Trine.

Libby Munoz totaled five shots for the Hornets, while Spring and Suzanne Miller each had four. Maddie Odom earned the win playing almost 35 minutes. Grace Smith played 55 minutes making four saves.  

Trine will return home on Oct. 12 when it will play host to Hope for a 4 p.m. game.
