GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. -- The Trine women's soccer team forced overtime, but we're defeated by Calvin College by the score of 1-0.
Senior goalkeeper Kristina Veljovic (Valparaiso/Valparaiso) made nine saves in the match to keep the Knights off the board throughout the entirety of regulation.
Sophomore Morgan Sanderson (Leo/Leo) recorded the best chance for Trine with a shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match.
Calvin recorded the line goal of the contest in the first minute of overtime, when Grace Visser received a pass from Emily Ore after a breakaway and put it past Veljovic.
The Thunder will next take the pitch when they travel to face St. Mary's College on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m.
