Women's Soccer Bitten by Bulldogs

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Trine University women's soccer team held tough for the first half but ended up falling to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leading hosts Adrian College by the score of 4-0.

The Thunder allowed just one goal in the first half to the strong Bulldog side, it came in the 22nd minute of the contest. Adrian took the 1-0 lead into the intermission.

Trine came up with a chance to tie the game at one just out of the intermission but freshman Veronica Ocampo's (Elkhart, Ind. / Elkhart Memorial) shot went wide left.

Adrian added to their lead in the 67th minute and then again twice more in the final ten minutes of the match to take the 4-0 victory.

Trine falls to 3-8-3 overall and 0-5-2 in MIAA play following the loss. They will finish off their season when they host Saint Mary's College on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The contest will be played under the lights at Zollner Stadium and is set to begin at 7 p.m.
