Alma Hands Women’s Soccer a Loss

ALMA, Mich. – The Trine University women's soccer team traveled to Alma College for their final regular-season match and returned home with a 4-1 loss.

The Scots struck first in the contest with a goal in the ninth minute of play.

Trine responded in the 32nd minute of play. Freshman Oliva Argentieri (East Amherst, N.Y. / Clarence) came up with the goal with classmate Megan Davis (Genoa, Ohio / Genoa Area) adding an assist.

Alma took back the lead in the 38th minute when they took advantage of a penalty kick opportunity. The 2-1 lead would last into the intermission.

In the second half of the match, the Scots added two more goals to take the match by the score of 4-1.

The Thunder fall to 8-5 overall and 1-4 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play. The team awaits information on their opponent in the opening round of the MIAA championship tournament which will begin on Monday, April 19.
