Women’s Soccer Announces 2022 Elite Prospect Camp

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's soccer coaching staff, led by head coach Gary Boughton, has announced they will host their 2022 Elite Prospect Camp beginning on Friday, July 15 through Saturday, July 16.

The camp is focused on providing instruction for individual athletes looking to compete at the collegiate level. Focus will be put individual technical development for players, small sided and 11v11 games. There will be a total of three on-field sessions, a campus tour, meals provided and presentations for the campers about Trine University.

Attendees will work with the same coaching staff and technique that led the Thunder to the program's best ever season as the team shattered records during a season of firsts. They finished the season by reaching their first ever Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament final before receiving an at large berth in the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship tournament, another first in the program's tenure in the NCAA.

In addition to historic win totals the team broke four single season records. Offensively the team shattered previous points and goals records by recording 49 goals and 126 points during the year. Then defensively the team came in with a 0.89 goals-against average and posted 12 shutouts.

The camp is open to any athlete graduating from high school or junior college in the years 2022 through 2026. The event will begin with check-in on Friday afternoon and end Saturday evening.
