HOLLAND, MICH.-- The Trine women's tennis team was swept by Hope 9-0 in MIAA-action Saturday afternoon at DeWitt Tennis Center.
Kaitlin Black (Crawfordsville, Ind./Southmont) gave the Thunder their best chance for a point after taking the second set, 6-0 in no. 5 singles. Opponent Marie Holoway rallied back to take the third set. All other matches were won by the Flying Dutchmen in straight sets. The Thunder fall to 7-9 overall and 3-2 in the MIAA. Hope improves to 10-5 overall, 3-1 in the conference. The Dutch are ranked 10th regionally.
Trine returns to action tomorrow when they host Kalamazoo at 1:00 p.m.
