HOLLAND, Mich.-- The Trine women's tennis team was defeated 9-0 by Hope in a MIAA match Tuesday afternoon on the VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts.
Madison Hatkevich (Granger, Ind. / Edwardsburg) gave her opponent a tough fight in the second set of their match at No. 1 singles. Hatkevich was able to earn a well-fought three points before dropping the set. The Dutch showcased a deep roster in taking the match.
Trine fell to 3-13 overall and 0-7 in MIAA matches. Hope improved to 14-4 overall, 6-0 in conference matches.
The Thunder wrap up the season Saturday, Apr. 30 with a 1 p.m. match against Calvin. Trine will honor its senior class at the match.
