LAKELAND, Fla.-- The Trine women's tennis team was defeated by Berry, 7-2, in a non-conference match Tuesday morning at Florida Southern College.
Kyra Braun (Portland, Ind. / Jay County) picked up her second consecutive win of the spring trip. Braun won the only completed set 7-6 before the match was retired due to time. Braun has won both of her matches this season.
Kinnsey Pass (Lafayette, Ind. / Jefferson) added a win in singles play. Pass won the first set 7-5 before her opponent evened this up. Pass was able to prevail 10-4 in the tiebreak to earn the victory. She picked up her second win of the season in singles play.
Trine fell to 1-6 overall, while Berry evened its record at 2-2.
The Thunder return to action Thursday, Mar. 16 against Texas Lutheran. The match at Lake Cane Tennis Center gets underway at 7 p.m.
