ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine women's tennis team was defeated by Albion, 7-2, in a MIAA match Sunday afternoon at Ryan Tennis Center.
Kyra Braun (Portland, Ind. / Jay County) had a hand in each Thunder victory. The freshman returned to her winning ways in singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at no. 6 singles. Braun improved to 8-1 on the season.
Braun also paired with Abby Hoge (Berrien Springs, Mich. / Berrien Springs) on the victory at no. 3 doubles. The duo won by a score of 8-3. They picked up their first MIAA win as a pairing.
Trine fell to 2-12 overall, 0-3 in MIAA. Albion improved to 7-7 overall and 4-0 in conference matches.
The Thunder return to action Wednesday, Apr. 12 at Kalamazoo. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
