ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine women's tennis team has announced its 2017-18 schedule, the team revealed today.
The fall portion of the schedule features six matches, three of which are at home. The season begins Sep. 6 with a home match against Grace (Ind.). The Thunder also host Wittenberg and NAIA foe Indiana Tech as part of the non-conference fall slate. The autumn schedule also includes road trips to Earlham, Bethel (Ind.) and Defiance. Trine defeated Earlham during last year's fall season.
The season resumes with a spring break trip to Orlando, Fla. for four matches. Opponents and locations for those matches will be announced at a later date. Last year's spring break schedule included outdoor venues in the greater-Orlando area.
After returning north, the team wraps up non-conference play with a match at Ohio Northern and a home match against Bethel (Ind.) before embarking on the MIAA schedule.
The MIAA slate includes a match against every conference foe. Trine will host Saint Mary's, Kalamazoo, Olivet and Alma in league play. The Alma match rounds out the regular season Apr. 25 and will serve as the team's Senior Day. The Thunder take on Adrian, Albion, Hope and Calvin on the road in conference play.
