SPRINGFIELD, OHIO -- The Trine women's tennis team dropped their second dual of the season to Wittenberg University by the score of 7-2.
The Thunder came out of doubles with one victory. Sophomore Kyra Braun (Portland/Jay County) and freshman Katie Simon (Paw Paw/Paw Paw) were that winning pair, defeating their opponents by the score of 8-6.
Braund would follow up her doubles performance by winning her No. 5 singles match. After falling in the first set 3-6, Braun came finished with victories of 6-3 and 10-6 in the final sets to win the match.
Trine will next compete tomorrow, Sept. 10, at 10:00 a.m. when they travel to Richmond, Ind. to take on Earlham College in another dual match.
