MISHAWAKA, IND. – The Trine women's tennis team was defeated on the road by Bethal College, 8-1.
The lone win for the Thunder came in the No. 3 doubles match where sophomore Kyra Braun (Portland/Jay County) and freshman Katie Simon (Paw Paw/Paw Paw) defeated the Bethal pair by the score of 9-8 (7-5).
Simon would also log the strongest finish in the singles portion when she took her opponent in the No. 6 match to three sets.
Trine will next take the courts when they travel to Defiance College on Thursday, Sept. 21. The match is set to start at 4:00 p.m.
