FREELAND, MICH. – Senior Kinnsey Pass (Lafayette/Jefferson) was tapped the women's tennis player of the week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) office on Monday.
Pass was undefeated, in both her singles and doubles matches, during this week's competitions against Defiance College (Ohio) and Indiana Tech.
Pass and her doubles partner, freshman Andrea Jordan (New Haven/New Haven), won the No. 2 match against Indiana Tech by the score of 8-0. Against Defiance, they won 8-2.
In singles, Pass posted an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match against Indiana Tech. Against Defiance, she also won in just two sets but needed a close tiebreaker to complete the win by scores of 6-2, 7-6 (9-7).
With their win over Indiana Tech on Sunday the Thunder wrapped up their fall schedule and will not take the courts again until March.
