HOLLAND, MICH. – The Trine University women's tennis team was defeated by host Hope College by the score of 9-0.
The Thunder were overpowered in the match by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leading Flying Dutch. Freshman Katie Simon (Paw Paw, Mich. / Paw Paw) was the Trine player to come closest to a victory in the No. 6 singles match. But ultimately the Thunder were unable to come away with a win and lost the match 9-0.
Trine will look to bounce back on Tuesday, April 17 when they host Olivet College starting at 4 p.m.
