ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Trine University women's tennis team dropped their final contest of their spring break trip, with Judson (Ill.) University coming out ahead 8-1.
The Thunder No. 1 doubles team of senior Ellie Cole (Albion, Ind. / Central Noble) and sophomore Jadyn Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) gave the opposition all they could forcing a tiebreaker but ultimately dropping the match 7-8 (3-7). The other two doubles matches would also go the Eagles' way.
Cole would pick up the team's lone victory of the match in No. 3 singles match. There she won handily 6-2, 6-0.
Trine falls to 6-3 following the loss. They will next take the courts when they host Manchester University on Monday, March 14 for a 4 p.m. contest.
